Ceramic Tile Technical Specification

Nulok produces a high temperature Vitrified Ceramic Tile. The long life characteristics of Natural Slate are retained, but being man-made, they have the advantage of size, thickness, strength and quality control. Nu-Lok Ceramic Tiles have very low porosity – water absorption of approx. 0.05%, all contributing to an exceptionaly long life. Added to this is their strength (you can walk on them) and thin profile/shadow-line at just 7.5mm. Not surprisingly, we offer a 50 year guarantee.

Nulok Roofing System Technical Date and Certifications

The Nulok Roofing System offers a straightforward, efficient method of installing both Natural Slate and Nulok Ceramic Tiles. This incredibly robust system incorporates Zincalume Battens spaced at 307mm. Locked in place between the battens are Nulok Link Channels, each possessing a stainless steel clip used for securing the leading edge of each slate. This Link Channel eliminates the need for side double-lapping of slates because water passing through the slate is routed by the Link Channel onto the surface of the slate below.
